1. Regulated Forex Scams? You Bet

Yes, Regulated Forex Brokers Commit Scams

When one typically hears the phrase “forex scam” one automatically assumes that it is being perpetrated by an unlicensed or unregulated forex broker. For the most part, that assumption is correct. All you have to do is a quick google search and you will find numerous articles detailing reprehensible acts committed by unregulated forex and binary options brokers. However, there have been numerous instances of regulated forex brokers skirting the rules.

Not all regulated brokers are trustworthy

Unfortunately, there are numerous regulated forex brokers that have defrauded unsuspecting clientele as well. Last year on the CFTC slapped a $7 million fine on Forex Capital Markets (FXCM) in a civil monetary penalty for engaging in fraudulent and misleading solicitations, spanning from September 4, 2009, through at least 2014.
Additionally, the CFTC emphasized that FXCM had misrepresented that its ‘No Dealing Desk’ trading platform had no conflicts of interest with its clientele. Instead of running a true ECN execution platform where trades are performed directly in the interbank market, their clientele’s trades would be redirected to a Effex Capital LLC, which was originally designated to be an independent market maker but was, in reality, an extension of FXCM. Effex Capital would take very aggressive forex trades against the investors in order that they would lose and in return, FXCM would be the beneficiary of some very high kickbacks, which they received under the table from FXCM.

FXCM barred from the U.S.

Because of their duplicitous practices, the CFTC withdrew their regulation and FXCM was no longer allowed to service U.S. customers. Additionally, FXCM was caught by the FCA in yet another forex scam. They took away their investors’ positive swaps, causing them to only receive negative swaps. Surprisingly, the FCA did not remove their regulation.

Beware of OTCapital

OTCapital, forex broker regulated by ASIC has been swindling numerous investors. Broker Complaint Registry has received numerous complaints from those who have been victimized by their reprehensible practices. Complaints have ranged from not allowing clients to withdraw their earnings to never receiving a call back after they had deposited. Unfortunately, ASIC has not taken any action against OTCapital.

Protect yourself from a forex scam

Before you deposit money with a broker you must first make sure that the broker is regulated by an entity such as the CFTC, FCA, ASIC or the IIROC. Remember not all regulatory bodies are created equal. For example, if the broker that you are interested in has only a CySEC (Cyprus) regulation it would be wise to steer clear. Although they have gotten tougher on rulebreakers, CySEC is still lax in numerous areas.
Additionally, do your research. This means reading reviews, looking at various forums, and so on. It is not enough that the broker you are interested in has a regulation. You must vet them.

FCA Updates Forex Broker Scam List

FCA Targets More Forex & Binary Brokers

The FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) finally got around to updating its list of unregulated online trading brokers. This list includes both forex and binary options unregulated brokers. Despite the fact, these brokers supposedly offer numerous services they are located in financial havens such as Seychelles, the Marshall Islands or Vanuatu and provide little to no information as to who they really are, and which parent company operates them. So, without further ado let’s introduce these fraudulent companies

SolidCFD

Owned by LOK Marketing Ltd, this forex broker is supposedly located in Vanuatu, a tax haven for any illicit business. Apparently, SolidCFD appears to be forging a path for current forex brokers and others that would like to set up shop in the country, whose major exports are frozen fish and distinct floating edifices. However, upon further inspection, the SolidCFD has two other offices registered on their website.
The first is under the name MGNC Marketing Ltd. and it is located in Cyprus. A quick google search tells us all that we need to know. MGNC Marketing LTD (Solid CFD) cold-calls potential investors and offers them unauthorized or prohibited financial services. An additional address is attributed to an area in West London. However, upon further review, there is no real company located there. Unsurprisingly no company is registered in the UK under SolidCFD, LOK marketing or MGNC Marketing, which implies that the broker has no physical presence in the United Kingdom.
Furthermore, there is a whole list of negative reviews pertaining to SolidCFD. This includes clients being unable to withdraw their funds, aggressive salesmen and not being able to log back into an account once a withdrawal request is made.

StratX Markets

Registered in the Marshal Islands, the company supposedly has an office in North London. However, the address that is provided is used by a company that enables other companies to register their business under their address. This obviously implies that StratX has no workers at its given address.
Just by merely glancing at a few of the reviews tells you that StratX Markets is operated by a bunch of con-artists. In fact what is more alarming, a number of former clients are claiming that StratX personnel are operating a fraudulent fund recovery company called Linrow Clarion Solvency that claims they can recover money that was lost to illegitimate brokers like Stratx Markets.

Options Stars Global

Last but not least this “broker” is registered in Samoa, but apparently has some sort of a branch in Cyprus that is regulated by CySEC. That is patently false.
Additionally, although the website has a U.K. phone number none of their of operations occur in the country. Not only Are there plenty of negative reviews about them, there is a dedicated Facebook page against them
Users of the website report an inability to withdraw funds, threatening salesmen, and pushy brokers who tempt traders into depositing more cash into their accounts. The company has done so badly they even have a Facebook page against them.

Take Action

If you have fallen victim to a cryptocurrency scam, send a complaint to at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), and we will do our very best to get into contact with you as soon as we can to initiate your funds recovery process.

Undoubtedly, most of the revealing sites have the only supportive argument beginning with, ‘As the review suggests’. Do raise yourselves, is that this the legitimate way to prove legitimacy ofBitQT
They too argue regarding the legitimate verification method. That’s the explanation why there’s a number of complaints with reference to the current. If these products would have really worked, why not each single person select to remain off from their offices integrating with it somehow:

Money Forex Cluster scamThe Cash Forex Group is run by a company named CFxG which allegedly was founded by a team of experts in all kinds of areas, mainly education in the monetary trading field and network promoting.

https://preview.redd.it/0gc7ga9f1pm51.jpg?width=474&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5c031ac047e635c47d3ee592ab9235878613c890
These experts and their automated trading system will supposedly facilitate your to form heaps of cash. In trading solely you'll allegedly make fifteenp.c weekly on your investments. Then there are referral programs and multi-level structures that can boost your income even more. Is that t
Money FX Group scamLet’s begin this Money Forex Group review by stating the obvious, this scheme may be a total scam, you just have to look at the numbers.BitQT

When they promise you fifteen%+ weekly, it means that 60percent+ monthly, which is totally ridiculous in the important world. It means a lot of than 560zeropercent per year, therefore you'd need solely $18,00zero greenbacks to become a millionaire within year. And this is often plain impossible.

No legitimate business can create you a gradual fifteenpercent weekly, no financial markets are that predictable and that easy to trade. It may appear straightforward to you, but it really is this straightforward, a program promising fifteenp.c weekly should be a scam, there is no alternative method, the Money FX Group is a scam.

However there is additional to go through in this review.
Massive lies

Money FX Cluster testimonialThe Money Forex Cluster claims to be regulated by the subsequent institutions: FAC – Financial Conduct Authority of London, DFSA – Monetary Services Authority in Dubai, FSCA – Monetary Sector Conduct Authority of South Africa and FSA – the Monetary Services Authority of Seychelles.

But guess what, the FAC will not even exist, while the others (DFSA, FSCA and FSA) haven't issued any license whatsoever to Cash Forex Cluster. Therefore not only Money FX Group is not regulated at all, it conjointly is lying huge time regarding its regulatory status.

The fact is that it's no license whatsoever, so it cannot supply investment services legally in most countries.

This is often conjointly why they want you to deposit cryptocurrencies, they wish to remain as anonymous as potential, so that they will run away along with your cash.
Regulatory warning

Not long when we have a tendency to printed our analysis, the Financial Conduct Authority (financial regulator in Nice Britain) came up with its own warning.

The regulator said that CashFX is providing investment services without the mandatory authorization and advised the public to remain off from it. This is often a very serious argumentBiTQT.

It'd be terribly unwise to deposit money with an unregulated and basically anonymous entity, as a result of it would not be protected in any means. No matter where the cash finally ends up, this program is promising you impossible returns on investments, which in itself confirms that something is wrong.
How it works

Let’s end this Cash Forex Group review by explaining the essential principle of this investment program. It's a Ponzi theme that does no real economic activity. It just collects money from individuals and may pay out some profits, but the most recent clients’ deposits can be used for that.

This will have an inevitable outcome, the system can sooner or later crumble. It's simply a matter of your time when there can be not enough deposits to hide withdrawals and also the inevitable end can

Nobody has not been paid, that is NOBODY ….. after all you can't compound or upgrade your CFX account unless you withdraw (get paid) …. CFX are not regulated…. as a result of they use a Regulated broker (everfx) to trade…so that information is also incorrect…and judging by the actual members comments….I’d say, members are happy….. long might that continue. BUT, you must never place in more than you are prepared to lose (In SOMETHING). However do correct analysis, ask

members, don’t rely on people that play safe and stay poor. Do your own due diligence. (ps MOST sites that decision each business out as a scam…have their own links…..promoting guess what ? ….tip. SCAMS ! Beware.

Binary Options Review; Best Binary Options Brokers

Binary Options Review; Best Binary Options Brokers

Binary Options Review; Best Binary Options Brokers
We have compared the best regulated binary options brokers and platforms in May 2020 and created this top list. Every binary options company here has been personally reviewed by us to help you find the best binary options platform for both beginners and experts. The broker comparison list below shows which binary trading sites came out on top based on different criteria.
You can put different trading signals into consideration such as using payout (maximum returns), minimum deposit, bonus offers, or if the operator is regulated or not. You can also read full reviews of each broker, helping you make the best choice. This review is to ensure traders don't lose money in their trading account.
How to Compare Brokers and Platforms
In order to trade binary options, you need to engage the services of a binary options broker that accepts clients from your country e.g. check US trade requirements if you are in the United States. Here at bitcoinbinaryoptionsreview.com, we have provided all the best comparison factors that will help you select which trading broker to open an account with. We have also looked at our most popular or frequently asked questions, and have noted that these are important factors when traders are comparing different brokers:
  1. What is the Minimum Deposit? (These range from $5 or $10 up to $250)
  2. Are they regulated or licensed, and with which regulator?
  3. Can I open a Demo Account?
  4. Is there a signals service, and is it free?
  5. Can I trade on my mobile phone and is there a mobile app?
  6. Is there a Bonus available for new trader accounts? What are the Terms and
  7. conditions?
  8. Who has the best binary trading platform? Do you need high detail charts with technical analysis indicators?
  9. Which broker has the best asset lists? Do they offer forex, cryptocurrency, commodities, indices, and stocks – and how many of each?
  10. Which broker has the largest range of expiry times (30 seconds, 60 seconds, end of the day, long term, etc?)
  11. How much is the minimum trade size or amount?
  12. What types of options are available? (Touch, Ladder, Boundary, Pairs, etc)
  13. Additional Tools – Like Early closure or Metatrader 4 (Mt4) plugin or integration
  14. Do they operate a Robot or offer automated trading software?
  15. What is Customer Service like? Do they offer telephone, email and live chat customer support – and in which countries? Do they list direct contact details?
  16. Who has the best payouts or maximum returns? Check the markets you will trade.
The Regulated Binary Brokers
Regulation and licensing is a key factor when judging the best broker. Unregulated brokers are not always scams, or untrustworthy, but it does mean a trader must do more ‘due diligence’ before trading with them. A regulated broker is the safest option.
Regulators - Leading regulatory bodies include:
  • CySec – The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (Cyprus and the EU)
  • FCA – Financial Conduct Authority (UK)
  • CFTC – Commodity Futures Trading Commission (US)
  • FSB – Financial Services Board (South Africa)
  • ASIC – Australia Securities and Investment Commission
There are other regulators in addition to the above, and in some cases, brokers will be regulated by more than one organization. This is becoming more common in Europe where binary options are coming under increased scrutiny. Reputable, premier brands will have regulation of some sort.
Regulation is there to protect traders, to ensure their money is correctly held and to give them a path to take in the event of a dispute. It should therefore be an important consideration when choosing a trading partner.
Bonuses - Both sign up bonuses and demo accounts are used to attract new clients. Bonuses are often a deposit match, a one-off payment, or risk-free trade. Whatever the form of a bonus, there are terms and conditions that need to be read.
It is worth taking the time to understand those terms before signing up or clicking accept on a bonus offer. If the terms are not to your liking then the bonus loses any attraction and that broker may not be the best choice. Some bonus terms tie in your initial deposit too. It is worth reading T&Cs before agreeing to any bonus, and worth noting that many brokers will give you the option to ‘opt-out’ of taking a bonus.
Using a bonus effectively is harder than it sounds. If considering taking up one of these offers, think about whether, and how, it might affect your trading. One common issue is that turnover requirements within the terms, often cause traders to ‘over-trade’. If the bonus does not suit you, turn it down.
How to Find the Right Broker
But how do you find a good broker? Well, that’s where BitcoinBinaryOptionsReview.com comes in. We assess and evaluate binary options brokers so that traders know exactly what to expect when signing up with them. Our financial experts have more than 20 years of experience in the financial business and have reviewed dozens of brokers.

KONTOFX REVIEW

Overview:

The offshore FX and CFDs broker KONTOFX has its focus on binary trading options. It offers a number of binary assets for trading on an oversimplified trading platform. It also offers maximum leverage of a 1:200. Before considering this broker for trading please follow our scam broker KONTOFX review.

About the KONTOFX:

The broker offers binary options of more than 20 cryptocurrencies from popular Bitcoin to Ethereum and many more. The minimum investment of $250 is needed to start trading with KONTOFX. This minimum deposit is in accordance with the current market situation but several regulated brokers provide the same services at the cost of $ 5. The Estonian firm NTMT Transformatic Markets OU is the owner of KONTORFX and the operations are handled by Northside Business Centres located in Hungary. It has also another office located in Moscow, Russia that manages clients outside of the EU. To offer its services in the EU any Estonian firm required to be regulated by Finantsinspektsioon the local Financial Supervision Authority. When checked with Finantsinspektsioon there is no evidence of this broker’s registration.
The terms and conditions section of this brokers mentions that the broker is not bound to process withdrawal requests made by the traders. Meaning that the profits gained by the traders can not be withdrawn. This condition is utter nonsense as traders do trading to earn profit and use them as per their convenience.
The available spread at KONTOFX on bitcoin-us dollar pair is around $170 that is higher. On the contrary, the information on the website talks about low spreads at 0.6 pips. The offered leverage is up to the ratio of 1:200. When tried to test the provided trading platform we came across very few CFDs offered on binary options and not at all on other commodities. This means the broker is advertising itself falsely as the leader in binary and other commodities CFDs providers.
The payments are entertained only with cards and all other means of payments are unavailable. As mentioned earlier this broker does not provide world-leading MetaTrader platform. Instead offers to trade on some unproven web-based terminal. The fact of worry about this broker is, there is warning issued against it by the Financial Conduct Authority, UK.

Is KONTOFX legit or scam?

The offshore broker KONTOFX makes false claims every now and then. The terms and conditions of this broker are very strange. The broker KONTOFX is unregulated and unlicensed and has a high risk of fund loss. All in all this broker can be a potential Forex scam broker. Avoid it for the safety of your investments.

Wisebanc Review

Overview:

The offshore FX and CFDs broker WISEBANC is managed from Bulgaria. The limited information display raises questions on this from the beginning. This broker features four international offices in the big economies like Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, and South Africa. We also felt that this multinational impression of WISEBANC is also fishy. For the same reason, we decided to do this WISEBANC review to know more about this broker.

About WISEBANC :

Upon investigation, it was clear that the broker is unregulated by FSC, the Bulgarian financial authority. The broker features several attractive bonuses and promotional offers. WISEBANC promotes to offer a $250 signup bonus to all subscribers. But the real snag is, to be eligible for the withdrawal of these bonuses, the equitable amount of trading points must be earned.
The five trading accounts are similar to that of other brokers namely Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The log in amount is $250, $1000, $2500, $5000, and $10000, and the provided ratio of leverage is 1:500. It also has maximum fixed spreads of 7, 6, 5, 4, and 3 pips and the welcome bonuses of 40, 50, 60, 80, and 100 % respectively. It provides special forex signal service to its premium customers. The deposit of $250 is incomparable considering the unregulated nature of the broker. The only advantage we came across is the leverage levels but it can become disadvantageous if precaution is not taken. As they can drain your trading account in a blink of an eye. Also, the most famous trading platform MetaTrader4 is not supported by this broker. Nonetheless, traders will feel forced to use the broker’s platform as the platform Is slow and crashes continuously. Also, A-1 features in MT are not present in the provided platform. The web is filled with several scams and fraud feedbacks for this multinational broker. The payment and withdrawal gateways are cards, Neteller, wire transfers, and many more.

Is WISEBANC scam or legit??

The only good thing about WISEBANC is its steep levels of leverages. Unfortunately, this advantage has its drawbacks as with high profit is also associated with a huge loss. The spreads available increases the cost of trading. We could not find anything special about WISEBANC but found several resemblances with scam brokers like false advertising, unregulated, providing unusual trading conditions are few to mention. Avoid it can save the reader’s money and time.

ForexBit Review

Overview:

The name of this broker ForexBit suggests that the broker deals with the exchange of Forex, Cryptos and provides Contracts-for-Difference. The broker does not mention any account types on its website but shows some investment plans. The plans offered show growth in investments on an hourly basis. The website looks attractive but also seems misguiding. This ForexBit review will shed light on the characteristics and offerings of this broker. Don’t forget to follow this review completely for the sake of your investments.

About ForexBit:

The broker ForexBit offers trade-in FX and binary options. The assets provided by them are very broad. The assets consist of cryptos, indexes, lots of commodities, shares, bonds, and futures. The crypto-coin portfolio of this broker is also very wide and contains all major cryptos like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, Dash, and minor ones like IOTA, ZCash, Ada, NEO, Bitcoin Cash, Stellar Lumens, and several others. The official website claims that potential customers of ForexBit are provided with MetaTrader5 trading platform.
The domain of this broker does not furnish information about its owner or manager. But interestingly it provides a company number on the top side of the website. When clicked on it, it redirects to a pdf file that mentions the owner's name and other details. The name of the owner turns out to be Donald Brian and a UK based address. Not surprisingly enough, such documentation and information must be treated as scam and misleading. No genuine broker has such a witty information system. Furthermore, the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK has blacklisted this shady broker on its website. So, it is clear that the broker ForexBit is unlicensed and unregulated. And its potential clients are prone to scam and their funds are not in the safe hands.
The initial investment required starts from $20 to $2500 according to the plans. The level 1 plan offers a 10% growth in 8 hours with a referral of 5%. The level 2 plan offers a 15% growth in 8 hours with a referral of 5%. The level 3 plan offers a 30% growth in 7 hours with a referral of 7%. And the advance plan offers a 55% growth in investment in just 4 hours with a referral of 8%. But the question of how ForexBit will achieve such high profit in such a less time is unanswered.

Is ForexBit scam or legit?

The answer to this question is straight forward, the broker ForexBit is a scam. The information provided on the website does not fulfill any trading criteria. It only asks for the investments. Furthermore, the great strategy for gaining such a huge profit in very less time is also not mentioned anywhere. The provided information on its owner is as shady as it gets. The referral system present makes it clear that the broker is not genuine and trying to make money merely by trader's investments and their referrals. Stay away from this cryptocurrency scam.

BROKERZ REVIEW

Overview:

The trademark BROKERZ.COM is the sole proprietorship of BROKERZ LTD addressed offshore in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The trading assets of this broker includes FX pairs, CFDs on shares, several commodities, and many indexes. To get all the information about this broker please read this BROKERZ review.

About the BROKERZ:

Regulation and licensing is the most critical aspect of an online broker. Sadly, we were unable to find any information about the regulatory body that looks after this broker’s operation. The unregulated and unlicensed nature makes it hard to trust any broker. It also becomes a tedious job to recover investor’s funds. As a genuine reviewer, we warn all our readers to avoid such scam brokers. The local financial regulatory authority of Austria publicly warned about this forex fraud called BROKERZ. This broker makes efforts to provide out of the class facility to its traders and offers MetaTrader and WebTrader platform. Eventually, it fails to provide out of class and favorable trading conditions. The spreads provided in all accounts types are capped at 3 pips for the $/€ FX pair. These provided spreads are far higher in comparison with the average market spreads. The broker also takes $8 commission on each trade performed, it is nothing but the extra spread of 0.8 pips. This ultimately increases the trading cost and appears to be unfavorable to all the traders.
While talking about the advantages of BROKERZ it offers 3 different types of trading terminals. The super popular and time tested MetaTrader is amongst them. MetaTrader features MQL for strategy making, charting for current market situation, experts advice for a quick profit and many more. Another advantage we came across of this broker is its low initial investments. $250 is required to open a basic account with this broker and it is according to market condition. The maximum leverage of 1:100 is offered by BROKERZ and it can be beneficial to most of the traders as the minimum loss is associated with it as compared to the high leverage ratio.

Is BROKEZ scam or legit?

The offshore broker BROKERZ is unregulated and unlicensed. Also, there is a potential forex scam broker warning issued against it by the Austrian financial authority. The SVG based firms are treated doubtfully. All these facts force us to believe that this can be an investment scam. Avoiding such brokers is advised.

GWFX Global Forex Trader

Hi,
I found this forex company with a really cool mobile app platform and im keen on making deposits but i see numerous indicators telling me its a scam. So the app has 100k + downloads on android with 3000 5 star reviews, this is the only positive thing to it though. I must add that you get a $20 referral bonus if someone sends you the link but upon further investigation they located in grenadine which is a high forex trader scam location. The license numbers they provide isnt picking up and the one i did find turns out to have gotten rejected by the FCA which is the UK financial regulator. Im an experienced trader and ive never come accross that works this well with my strategy on a mobile app. Im keen on getting feedback for all of you who is/have used there platform before because i dont want to deposit and lose my money. The minimum deposit is $50 and granted that this is a low amount of money, it would still hurt if i lost it knowing that I was aware that they are running an unregulated brokerage firm. I monitored GBP/USD of GWFX and GT247 which is definitely a legit broker in South Africa because they a subsidiary of a well known publicly listed company. Please, can someone put my mind at ease so I let it go. I accumulated $23000 dollars with my free $20 bonus so if it is legit im pretty sure i should be able to cash out majority of it

The "Experts" Are Getting Crypto All Wrong

The forex market has caught a lot of attention in past Bitcoin Trader Review couple of years. Maybe because the promises seen on the sales pages of forex brokers and vendors seem to point to it as a way of easy money. However, because this market has some peculiarities which traders must be thoroughly at home with, many unprepared traders have seen themselves at the wrong end of the market.Investments vary in degrees and conditions. Some people will only invest with reputable institutions in order to reduce risk. With the use of popular online Search Engines, one is able to look around and search for the options that best fit them. On the flip side; with Search Engine Optimization, financial institutions (and other entities that perpetrate as such) can now search for customers who want what those institutions have.Bitcoin is what some online investors have been using since its creation in 2009. With that and the introduction of binary options, some investors consider these crypto and cyber currencies as a litmus test of how the "normal" (or legal) markets are doing; while some have yet to approve the entire scene all together.

It uses a technology called blockchain, and a lot of people have been asking the question "What is blockchain?" So allow me to elaborate a bit. The blockchain network is an open ledger that displays every single transaction that is made, and is incorruptible because there is no 'one' location where all the records are kept. This prevents any cyber attacker from corrupting the information on the ledger. This is the dream that was thought out from its creator, because the rise of bitcoin and blockchain was created out of the distrust from the banks and financial institutions during the housing crisis of 2008. So the idea that every node (computer) on the network could see and verify every transaction that is being made, brings about a form of trust.Imagine if a million people each had a copy of the same instructions to build a toy car, then someone came along and had different instructions, they would not be able to build the same car because they have different instructions. The fact that everyone on the network can see the same transactions builds strong security defences.

This digital monetary system has opened doors for a new way to conduct transactions over the Internet. Especially for dark web users who use the cryptocurrency to buy malicious items like weapons, drugs and hit-men. The continuous use of bitcoin for purchasing goods and services over the internet is what gives it its power in my opinion.Cryptocurrency trading has taken the world by storm and this is what has become the norm for the majority of traders and investors. If you are keen enough to do your research before going into the trading, you stand a chance to enjoy real growth and profits in the end. The worst you can do when it comes to this kind of trading is going into it blindly simply because it is what everyone else is doing. A little research on the major currencies and getting deep into buying and trading fundamentals can make a huge difference. Below are a few guidelines that will jolt you into success with your trading.

The real estate industry is on the cutting edge of many issues. Bitcoins included. While the use of Bitcoins may not be mainstream yet, they are being seen throughout the industry and it's important to understand the risk and rewards that Bitcoins present.Originally introduced in 2009, the Bitcoin (BTC) is considered as a crypto currency. While not widely accepted (yet), the use of Bitcoins is becoming more widespread as many Bitcoin enthusiasts believe that Bitcoin is a government-proof currency (note that the IRS announced last year that it considers bitcoin as "personal property" for tax purposes). Additionally, some banking authorities have a different viewpoint of the crypto currency as they believe that it can be a basis for criminal activity. It's not a formal currency. Rather, Bitcoin is made through 'mining' which is a computer process and unregulated internet-based exchanges allow for the crypto currency to be traded online. Because Bitcoin is not regulated by any federal government or central bank, the majority of merchants will not accept the virtual currency. While the Bitcoin may not be common practice just yet, there are a growing number of real estate listings that are beginning to advertise that they accept the virtual currency.

Global Restrictions Curbing the Unregulated FX & Binary Options

Global Restrictions Curbing the Unregulated FX & Binary Options

The year 2018 has brought serious restrictions for all Binary Options & Unregulated FX Brokers. The growing strict policies ensure the safety of the masses of clients which are promised astronomical returns on their investments by some unethical Binary & FX services provider.
These restrictions have come from some big giants such as Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, Google & Facebook. Let's have a look on how each affects the business of the aforementioned financial services providers.
MasterCard :
The industry giant and one of the biggest payment providers sent out emails to all payment processors informing them about the new changes made by the firm. MasterCard has singled out all binary options, CFDs, Forex, CryptoCurrency & ICOs and flagged them as "High Risk Businesses". Meaning that all business having operations in jurisdictions without licenses will be re categorized into a new risk category for which the clients will be able to execute the charge backs for up to 540 days. This came into effect from 12th October 2018 ensuring that all brokers now play by the rules and do their business in the allowed jurisdictions only.
VISA:
Following the footsteps of MasterCard the payment provider has also decided to curb the unregulated FX,Options, Crypto & ICO business. Visa same like MasterCard will now be considering such businesses as Gambling Providers for the geos they are operating in without license. Acquirers will need to review the clients offering of said products and will immediately terminate all business activities in prohibited markets. This exempts Regulated Brokers however they must apply for being granted these privileges as carrying high risk firms which will still change many things for their business. The new VISA rules will come into effect from 1st December 2018.
Skrill :
Skrill which is one of the brands of the PaySafe Group and one of the widely used money transfer service in the FX sphere globally will now also be asking FX & CFD brokers to provide official copies of their license covering their operations legally. This rule comes into affect from 30th November after which customers from EU countries will not be able to transfer money to such firms. These brokers will however be given 2 weeks in which the company can use Skrill to return the funds of their clients. This move is expected to be followed by other payment companies in EU like Neteller, Webmoney, Fasapay, SoFort & Klarna.
Google:
Since July 2018 the giant Search Engine has placed restrictions over the advertising of Binary Options, Crypto, ICOs,Spread Betting and synonymous products. Brokers offering such services will now need to acquire a certification from google so they can advertise through Google Adverts one of the biggest advertisement platforms of the world.
In order to be able to get the certificate the broker must :
1) Be licensed by the relevant financial services authority in the countries they are targeting.
2)Ensure that their ads comply with googles polices such as the provision of legitimate contact info for a physical address of the business being promoted.
3) Comply with relevant legal requirements, including those related to complex speculative financial products.
Facebook:
At the start 2018, The Product Director at Facebook, Rob Leathern mentioned in a blog post that "Misleading or Deceptive Ads have no place on facebook". Many companies which were promoting ponzi schemes, crypto offerings and ICOs will now have difficulty in getting their adverts approved. The new rules state that the ''Ads must not promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices such as binary options, initial coin offering or Crypto currency''.
Conclusion :
All these industry giants coupled together with the new ESMA ensure that small to medium sized investors are safe from losing their money to such firms. The safety mechanism of these big firms complements the new ESMA perfectly however one effect that can be seen from all this is the brokers and the retail investors looking for flexible legal alternative to counter the low leverages and no bonuses and as such only time will be able to tell if these new measures will be successful in limiting the deposits in offshore entities .
